A Growing Passion
Jewish Women Discover Gardening
Linda Klein gazed out the window of her home in Shaker Heights, Ohio, trying to convince herself that the crash, bang, and boom of her 16-year-old’s heavy metal band didn’t really bother her. After all, Doug needed to practice; music was his passion. But then a larger, more insistent voice bellowed over her maternal musings: “You’ve got to get out of the house!” That voice gave birth to an extraordinary gardening career.
