In Philadelphia, Clara de Hirsch Chapter members light candles on a massive birthday cake featuring a picture of the RTC.
RTC 60th-Birthday PartiesThe Hottest Invitation in Town!

Chapters throughout the country have been hosting parties in honor of the 60th birthday of JWI’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC). Each party has its own personality and styleyet all of them help the boys and girls who reside at the RTC in Israel.

Tradition Chapter from suburban Maryland showed the poignant video “One Last Chance,” about the children at the RTC, then lit birthday candles and sang “Happy Birthday.” Laura Sutton, past JWI national vice president and longtime Tradition member, gave a firsthand description of the RTC’s work and how JWI has made a difference in the lives of its children for the past 60 years.

Clara de Hirsch Chapter in Philadelphia filled its birthday-party room with 100 people who, one at a time, lit candles on the 60th-birthday cake, decorated with a picture of the RTC. An $18 donation to the RTC accompanied each of the 115 candles. A musician played Jewish music, balloons filled the room and everyone felt proud of their role in helping the children at the RTC.

JWI Clearwater, Fla., Chapter showed its love for the RTC children by hosting a Gift of Love Luncheon and Fashion Show. Held at an area country club, the luncheon featured fashions by Stein Mart department stores, modeled by JWI members, and a fabulous array of donated gifts and door prizes. Sixtieth-birthday parties continue throughout the fall. If you would like more information on hosting a partyeither as an individual or as a chapterplease contact Renee Krutchick, chapter services specialist, at 800-343-2823.
